On August 19, 2025, at approximately 6:46 A.M., Officer Hansen of the Austin Police Department was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center for a report of a past action assault. Hansen made contact with Victim A (a 14-year-old juvenile male) and Victim A's mother. Victim A advised Hansen that he had been robbed at the Kwik Trip located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] West in the City of Austin, County of Mower. Victim A told Officer Hansen that at approximately 5:00 A.M., he was at the Kwik Trip and had purchased a drink and a donut.
As he was leaving the store, a male, later identified as ADAN LAGUNAS-FIGUEROA, DOB/030405, the defendant herein, had pulled up next to him in a vehicle on the south side of the parking lot and asked him if he was stealing. Victim A told the defendant that he had not stolen anything, but the defendant continued to accuse him of stealing from the Kwik Trip. Victim A stated that the defendant then parked and exited his vehicle and started slapping him in the face and pushing him towards the southeast corner of the building where a plastic shed is located.
Victim A said he could not remember how many times the defendant slapped him, but he estimated approximately 20 times. Victim A stated that as the defendant was slapping him, Victim A told the defendant that he could go back inside and speak with staff about how he was not stealing. The defendant then stole Victim A's backpack and put it inside his vehicle. Victim A said that he was able to open the defendant's door and retrieve his bag. Victim A said at that point, a Kwik Trip staff member, who had just finished his shift, exited the building near where the incident took place.
The defendant told the staff member that "! Just beat him up on camera" and that Victim A had stolen from the store. Victim A stated that the defendant and staff member then left. Victim A told Officer Hansen that the incident lasted approximately 8 minutes. He stated that during the incident, the defendant knocked his glasses off. When asked about any injuries sustained during the attack, Victim A stated that the area around his right ear was sore and that his hearing in that ear was muffled. Victim A also advised that the mark on the left side of his neck occurred as a result of the assault and that the right side of his jaw also hurt.
Victim A's mother told the officer that she was taking him to the hospital to have him evaluated. Officer Hansen photographed Victim A's injuries. Victim A told Officer Hansen that he did not know the defendant but that he would be able to identify him if shown a picture. Victim A then provided a description of the defendant and advised Hansen that he had a picture of the vehicle the defendant was driving. Hansen observed the photograph and noted the vehicle to be a Silver Infiniti G37 (MN license ZCR651). Hansen observed that the photo was taken on the south side of the Kwik Trip property facing the 11th Street SW exit.
