On March 17, 2026, law enforcement executed a search warrant at the Willow Inn and Suites located at 3621 8th Street South in the City of Moorhead, County of Clay, State of Minnesota. The warrant was related to a weapons and narcotics investigation. Following the search warrant, law enforcement was made aware of possible narcotic activity related to another room at the location. It was learned from a Confidential Informant (CI), that Reegan Taylor Duchaine [DOB REDACTED](hereinafter “Defendant”) was staying at the location was in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Law enforcement learned that Defendant and A. A. Were staying on the second floor of the Willow Inn and Suites, in room 229, and that there was fentanyl in the room. The fentanyl was believed to be sourced by a known methamphetamine and fentanyl dealer in the Fargo/Moorhead area. The source is known to law enforcement. The source, Defendant and A. A. Are all suspects in multiple federal, state and local narcotics investigations. Law enforcement learned from another person that Defendant and A. A. Were staying on the second floor of the Willow Inn and Suites and that Defendant and A. A. Were obtaining ounce quantities of fentanyl from the same source that law enforcement was previously made aware of.
Law enforcement learned that there may be a firearm located in the room where Defendant and A. A. Were staying. On March 19, 2026, law enforcement observed a male matching Defendant’s description standing in front of the Willow Inn and Suites. Law enforcement obtained a search warrant for Unit 229 at the Willow Inn and Suites. On March 20, 2026, law enforcement was conducting pre-surveillance and Defendant and A. A. Appeared to have been tipped off to law enforcement’s presence and fled. Defendant was apprehended.
A. A. Fled into Unit #127. Following A. A. Fleeing into Unit #127, law enforcement reapplied for the search warrant, adding Unit #127. The warrant was granted, allowing law enforcement to search Units #229 and #127. Law enforcement conducted a search warrant on both rooms. The search of Unit #229 yielded the following: ·A white crystalline substance located on the bed. The substance weighed 1 gram and field tested positive for methamphetamine. ·A brown crystalline substance on the bed, weighing 1 gram and field testing positive for methamphetamine. ·A plastic Tupperware container with a white powder located in a black backpack.
The substance weighed 15 grams and field tested positive for fentanyl. ·A clear plastic baggie containing a white powder substance located inside a plastic container in a black backpack. The substance weighed 4 grams and field tested positive for fentanyl. ·A clear plastic container containing a white powder located inside a black backpack. The substance weighed 11 grams and field tested positive for fentanyl. ·A plastic Tupperware container with white powder located on the dresser. The substance weighed 23 grams and field tested positive for fentanyl. ·A plastic Tupperware container with a purple powder substance located on the dresser.
