On October 17, 2025, Saint Paul Police Officers responded to the area of [ADDRESS REDACTED] North on a shooting. Officers recovered a single Hornady.380 caliber casing in the street in front of [ADDRESS REDACTED] North. Officers found a blood trail in the area. A witness gave police the phone number of the person who had been shot. Officers called and spoke to a man who declined to talk to them saying he would find the person who shot him and solve the matter himself. A man later showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the fingers of his right hand.
The man denied being involved in the shooting that had occurred on Snelling Avenue near Charles Avenue – he claimed he had been shot somewhere near Como Avenue and Snelling Avenue. Officers called the phone number they had received from the witness, and the man’s phone rang. The man provided medical staff with a false name. Surveillance video from the scene showed TRAVIS ADAM MCGEE [DOB REDACTED] got into a car and left with the shooter. At around 3:06 PM on November 2, 2025, Officer Cook was notified of a shoplifter at H&M at 1595 Highway 36 West, Roseville, Ramsey County.
A manager reported that a man and woman entered H & M and worked together to steal at least one item. Rosedale security located the couple walking out of the south side of the mall. The woman carried a gray backpack. The male carried shoe boxes and a Burlington Northern shopping bag. Officer Cook approached the couple and advised they were under arrest for the theft at H&M. The man, McGee, said he only took one pair of white sweatpants from the store. The woman was identified as Nichole Wedin. Officer Cook searched the backpack that Wedin carried at the time of her arrest.
Inside the backpack were multiple articles of clothing. Some of the items bore price tags to unknown stores. Beneath the clothes was a loaded Kel-Tec.380 handgun without a visible serial number. The handgun had a round in its chamber and seven additional rounds in its magazine. Wedin removed a white pair of sweatpants from her waistband that she said were stolen from H&M. Officers also recovered a black t-shirt with a North Face price tag from Wedin’s pants. McGee was searched. McGee had a brown Coach wallet with numerous financial cards and identity documents in the names of other people in his pants pocket.
Wedin was advised of her constitutional rights and agreed to speak to Officer Cook. Wedin confirmed she shoplifted a pair of pants by concealing it while in the fitting room of H&M. Wedin said the backpack was hers. She obtained the backpack earlier in the day from a church in Saint Paul. She placed clothing given to her at the church in the bag. She did not know McGee placed a firearm in the bag. Wedin said she left the backpack with McGee earlier in the day, and she saw McGee in the bag. Earlier in the day, she reached into the bag and felt a hard object.
