On or about April 11, 2026, at approximately 5:52 A.M., officers were dispatched to Mercy Hospital on a report of domestic assault. Officers met with the victim, fully identified in the reports, who advised her ex-boyfriend, TERRANCE JAMES TUCKER (D. O. B. 11/30/1998), who she had recently reentered a significant romantic relationship with again, hereinafter Defendant, was at her apartment in the city of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, earlier that day. The victim reported that Defendant fell asleep around midnight, and she fell asleep around 4:00 A.M. She stated that she woke up in what she described as a chokehold, with one of Defendant’s arms around her neck.
She reported having difficulty breathing due to Defendant strangling her, and was scared for her life, and screaming. The victim reported that once Defendant released her, he began punching her multiple times with both hands. The victim fell to the floor and covered her head while Defendant continued to strike her with both hands on her head and forearms. The victim reported Defendant then left the home. Officers observed injuries to victim’s hands, forearms, and face. Defendant was previously convicted of fourth-degree assault on March 6, 2025, in Wright County.
