On November 3, 2025, at approximately 9:45 A.M., Saint Paul Officers responded to the 100 block of Iowa Avenue West, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, on a domestic. Officers arrived and met LMG. LMG said her husband-ANDREW ROBERT BASEMAN, [DOB REDACTED]-who resides in the same residence, punched her in the face, arms, shoulder, feet, with a closed fist on October 30, 2025. LMG said when police responded on October 30th, BASEMAN, [DOB REDACTED]-made her lie to police so that he could go to work. LMG said BASEMAN started hitting her about three weeks prior, and the assaults have become worse over the last few weeks.
The first time BASEMAN hit her, he felt bad and apologized. In the last few weeks, BASEMAN has hit her multiple times a week. LGM said on the same day, October 30th, BASEMAN pointed a loaded handgun at her face after hitting her. She knew the safety was not on. On November 5, 2025, LMG spoke to an investigator. She said on October 30, 2025, at approximately 2:30 P.M., she and BASEMAN were driving when he swung a closed fist at her. When they arrived at home, BASEMAN grabbed his stuff and left for work.
After work, at approximately 8:00-9:30 P.M., BASEMAN was packing his things to leave. BASEMAN grabbed her to push her out of the room. BASEMAN took out the gun-described as a black 9mm pistol- while he was packing his belongings. LMG again confirmed that the gun was pointed at her, but the safety was on. BASEMAN then decided he was going to stay. LMG said BASEMAN found out she called the police and left. He returned on November 3rd. LMG said she left and went to a hotel because she did not want to be in the same house with him.
