On April 7, 2026, Eden Prairie Police Department Officers responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Eden Prairie, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Said location is a technical college that rents space to local high schools and classifies these spaces as a high school. Officers learned from witnesses that an individual identified as TREYRON TIMOTHY BROWN, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant is a student participating in high school classes at the technical college. On the aforementioned date Defendant was present in the bathroom prior to attending class.
While in the bathroom, witnesses note that Defendant displayed a black handgun in his possession. Upon leaving the bathroom, Defendant can be seen on surveillance carrying a black backpack and entering a high school classroom. Also attending high school classes with Defendant was ARMANI NATHAN HYDE, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Co-Defendant. When leaving the classroom, Defendant is no longer carrying the backpack. Surveillance in the hallway of the school shows Co-Defendant now carrying the backpack previously in the possession of Defendant.
School officials learned of the incident in the bathroom and noted the Co-Defendant had boarded a school bus leaving the school. Officers stopped the school bus and made contact with Co-Defendant. Believing Co-Defendant was now in possession of the firearm, officers detained Co-Defendant and searched the backpack in his possession. Inside the backpack, officers located a black Springfield XD handgun. Based on witness statements, surveillance, and Co-Defendant being in possession of the firearm, both Defendant and Co-Defendant were arrested for possessing the firearm on school property.
Defendant is currently in custody. The State respectfully requests this complaint issue via order of detention.
