On May 10, 2025, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension “BCA” began an investigation into several Cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Specifically, the Cybertip indicated that Instagram and Snapchat accounts, later linked to MARIO FERNANDO GONZALEZ, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant, had been associated with several files constituting pornographic works involving minors. During a review of law enforcement databases, investigators learned that Defendant resided on the 800 block of 4th St. SE, in the city of Minneapolis, in Hennepin County, in the state of Minnesota.

On July 22, 2025, the BCA executed a search warrant at Defendant’s residence. Defendant was there when the search warrant was executed. Investigators seized several electronic devices, including 5 phones and a Panasonic laptop. During an interview, Defendant confirmed information about his Instagram and Snapchat accounts from the Cybertip. Defendant eventually admitted that he used Snapchat in October, 2024 to communicate about access to child pornography. Defendant admitted that there would be a lot of pornographic works involving minors on his phone.

During a forensic extraction of Defendant’s electronic devices, investigators located 762 files constituting pornographic works involving minors. Five of these files, corresponding with Counts 1 through 5 of the complaint, are as follows: 1. The video shows a naked prepubescent male (male #1), approximately 8-10 years old, lying down with his erect penis exposed. Another prepubescent male (male #2), approximately 10-12 years old, is seen kneeling between Male #1’s legs. Male #2 begins performing oral sex on Male #1. Male #1’s penis and scrotum are underdeveloped with no visible pubic hair, and his facial features and body size are consistent with the aforementioned estimated age. 2. The video shows a partially naked prepubescent male, approximately 8-10 years old lying down with an exposed erect penis from an unseen male in front his face.

The minor male begins performing oral sex on the unseen male’s penis. The unseen male then ejaculates into the minor male’s mouth and onto his stomach. Trash The video shows a naked prepubescent male, approximately 7-9 years old, seated on top of a naked adult male who is lying down with his erect penis exposed. Only the minor male’s back and buttocks are exposed to the camera.

The adult male penetrates the minor male’s anus with his penis. The minor male’s body is significantly smaller than the adult male, and consistent with the aforementioned estimated age. 4. The video shows a naked prepubescent male (Male #1), approximately 9-11 years old, sitting on a bed with his erect penis exposed. A partially naked prepubescent male (Male #2), approximately 9-11 years old, is seen kneeling on the bed near Male #1. Male #1 begins performing oral sex on Male #2. Eventually Male #1 lies down on the bed while Male #2 penetrates Male #1’s anus with his penis.
