On or about August 29, 2025 at approximately 8:21 PM, Officer Knott of the Blaine Police Department responded to a report of a disorderly male at the Buffalo Wild Wings located at 1540 109th Avenue NE in the City of Blaine, Anoka County, Minnesota. The officer was advised that the male, later identified as MARQUIS DONTAE ZELLE [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, had left the location prior to officer arrival. The officer made contact with restaurant employees who advised that Defendant placed an online order under the name "Jo Johnson" While in the store, Defendant became upset that his order was taking a long time.
Defendant was advised that the payment for his order was declined, at which point Defendant began yelling at the employee and asked for a manager. The assistant general manager arrived and told Defendant twice that he needed to leave the store because he was yelling and swearing. A third employee arrived and told Defendant to leave the store. Defendant continued to yell and began arguing with the third employee about fighting. The employees then observed Defendant walk towards the front entrance, pull down the charity auction item display, and leave the building.
Due to Defendant's actions, damage was incurred to one framed photograph valued at $190.00. The officer reviewed video surveillance of the incident and confirmed the events. Detective Vang searched the phone number listed in the online order and learned that it was associated with Defendant. A DVS records check confirmed that Defendant was the registered owner of the vehicle the male suspect left the restaurant in. The detective reviewed Defendant's DVS and MRAP photos and confirmed he was the same individual in the Buffalo Wild Wings surveillance video.
