At around 10:00 PM on November 21, 2025, officers were sent to [ADDRESS REDACTED], White Bear Lake, Ramsey County on a domestic assault. Officers spoke to HN [DOB REDACTED] who was distraught, emotional, and crying. HN explained that she was in the bedroom with her boyfriend, MATTHEW CHRISTIAN MILLER [DOB REDACTED], and Miller’s daughter, LM. HN received a text from a coworker. Miller insisted on seeing the entire text thread. HN did not want to show Miller the thread because she had vented about Miller on the thread, and she was scared he would hit her.
Miller said, “Nope, I want to read it!” HN replied, “Please—can we not do this in front of your kid right now?” Miller threw a white plastic hanger and a 35-pound kettlebell in HN’s general direction. The kettlebell hit the chair where HN sat. Miller approached HN, and HN begged him not to touch her $2000 laptop. Miller slammed the laptop screen down damaging it. Miller backhanded HN’s nose. HN heard her nose “crunch.” Miller hit HN’s left eye and mouth causing her to bite her tongue. HN yelled trying to get Miller’s parents to help.
Miller punched her head with a closed fist. While punching HN, Miller yelled, “I’m going to f****** kill you!” HN feared for her life, and she feared moving past Miller because she didn’t want him to grab her. HN got away from Miller and called 911. Miller’s father told police he heard HN screaming and ran to their bedroom. Miller’s father saw Miller swinging at HM, but he did not see Miller’s punches strike HN. Miller’s mother heard LM screaming and grabbed the girl from the bedroom. Miller’s mother didn’t see any of the violence, but she said, “I know he did it.” Miller was arrested at a pizzeria.
Miller was advised of his constitutional rights and indicated he understood them. Miller said he would agree to discuss the incident, “If you tell me without a doubt there’s a chance I’m not going to fuckin jail for the weekend.” Miller declined a statement. On October 11, 2022, Miller was sentenced on a misdemeanor domestic assault in Ramsey County District Court file 62SU-CR-21-2231. That case involved a different victim.
