On November 13, 2025, Hopkins Police Officers responded to an identity theft report at the Hopkins Police Department. The reporting party B. M., stated that her identity was used to rent a car from Avis Car Rental, [ADDRESS REDACTED], Hopkins, Hennepin County. Avis employee J. P. Stated that a female with a heart tattoo on her left cheek, produced a driver's license and credit card in B. M.'s name. She then rented a red Jeep Grand Cherokee from Avis on September 4, 2025. The female was later identified as ABRIA DESTINY MONIQUE CAMPHOR, Defendant herein.
The Defendant did not return the car on time, incurred late charges, and the vehicle was returned damaged at another facility. The cost of the rental was $3,418.92. B. M. Knows who the Defendant is as she provided the Defendant with her driver's license and credit card in early 2025. The Defendant offered her services as a tax preparer and the Defendant requested several documents for tax preparation. B. M. And the Defendant had intermittent contact since, the last contact being August 3, 2025, before confronting the Defendant on November 13, 2025, about the Avis rental.
Officers confirmed the Defendant's Minnesota Identification shows a heart shaped tattoo on her left cheek. The surveillance video of the rental transaction where B. M.'s identification and credit card in her name were used, is consistent with the Defendant's appearance and J. P.'s observations. The Defendant is currently out of custody.
