On or about April 23, 2026, at approximately 10:15 P.M., officers responded to a call from the Hennepin County Medical Center (“HCMC” herein) on Park Avenue South in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers learned that TYSHEANA TERESA MAE AYLER (“Defendant” herein) had been arrested and brought to the Hennepin County jail on a Hennepin County warrant for first-degree drug possession (Warrant number 24000826). After Defendant was brought to jail, she experienced a seizure and was taken to HCMC. Defendant asked to use the restroom.
After several minutes, officers heard a loud crashing noise coming from the restroom. Defendant said she was fine, but an item had fallen. Defendant was unable to describe the item. Security officers responded and opened the door. Once opened, officers immediately saw Defendant standing on the toilet with ceiling tiles on the ground at her feet. The ceiling tile supports were also bent downwards, consistent with a downward force pulling on them. Defendant denied attempting to escape and claimed the ceiling had fallen on its own.
Defendant had a white powder consistent with drywall or the white ceiling tiles on the shoulder of her shirt. HCMC staff reported the estimated cost to repair the ceiling is $1,200. After being medically cleared, Defendant was transported back to the Hennepin County jail on her warrant. The State requests this Complaint issue as a warrant due to Defendant being in custody on her warrant, number 24000826.
