On January 13, 2026, at approximately 4:21 P.M., officers of the Minneapolis Police Department were dispatched to reports of an assault with a weapon occurring at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. S., City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers contacted the reporting party, VICTIM [NAME REDACTED], who stated that she was in her apartment with her friend, VICTIM [NAME REDACTED] when her neighbor, MESHA ANNETTE TERESA DOBBINS [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein, came out of her next-door apartment and began yelling at the victims to be stop banging on the walls.
VICTIM [NAME REDACTED] told DEFENDANT, “I don’t give a f***” causing DEFENDANT to respond, “I got something for you b****.” DEFENDANT then returned to her apartment and retrieved a knife. DEFENDANT exited her apartment, pointed the knife at VICTIM [NAME REDACTED], then began swinging it at her. VICTM S. D. Heard the commotion and exited the apartment to see what was happening when DEFENDANT threatened her saying, “B****, I’ll kill you,” while still swinging the knife. Both VICTIMs indicated that they saw DEFENDANT aggressively swing the large kitchen knife and feared that DEFENDANT intended to cause them both bodily harm.
Both stated they reasonably believed DEFENDANT would follow through with both the explicit and implicit threats made against them. DEFENDANT is presently in custody.
