Shortly after 6:20 PM on 4/04/2025, Officers responded to a gym at [ADDRESS REDACTED]., Edina, Hennepin County, Minnesota, for a fight in the men’s locker room. Victim 1 went into the men’s locker room. One of the victims kicked a pair of airbuds on the floor. Victim 1 went into the sauna. When he came out of the sauna, he saw two of his friends, herein Victim 2 and Victim 3. Another group in the locker room started saying things about his mother. They started to fight a group of Somalian males. Three of the individuals were Ahmed Abdul Jama, herein Co-Defendant 1, Yassin Mowlid Ali, [DOB REDACTED], herein Co- Defendant 2, and Diini Abullahi Hassan, herein Co-Defendant 3. One of the males, the one most muscular with braids, took out a gun from his backpack and pointed it at Victim 1, Victim 2, and Victim 3. Victim 1 was in fear and thought he was going to die.
The male with the gun returned the gun to the backpack and left. Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Officers apprehended a Suspect Vehicle containing Co-Defendant 1, Co-Defendant 2, Co-Defendant 3. Officers located a loaded firearm in a backpack containing Co-Defendant 2’s wallet. Defendants are currently in custody.
