On or about December 7, 2025, Richfield Police Officers were on routine patrol in Richfield, Hennepin County, MN. Officers were driving southbound on Nicollet Ave S approaching American BLVD. Officers observed a blue Ford Escape bearing the MN plate SCF322, without headlights and taillights illuminated, turn northbound on Nicollet Ave from westbound American BLVD. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The driver was identified as DOLTON, DAISEON LAMONTA [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant." While speaking with Defendant, officers detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage and a strong odor of marijuana on Defendant’s breath.
Officers also observed Defendant's eyes to be watery. Based on Defendant’s driving conduct and physical symptoms, officers believed Defendant was significantly impaired by an alcoholic beverage. Defendant provided a preliminary breath test (PBT). Defendant's preliminary breath result was 0.097 BrAC. A Datamaster DMT-G breath test was administered, and Defendant's reported value was 0.09 BrAC. Both tests were administered within two hours of the time Defendant was observed driving. Defendant was taken into custody and during an inventory search of the vehicle, officers located an bag of light blue/green, unmarked, circular pills.
The pills tested positive for methamphetamine/MDMA with a total weight of 29.33 grams. One pill was weighed at 0.48 grams; therefore, approximately 61 pills were located. Defendant has the following qualified prior impaired driving incidents within 10 years: • 10/12/2021 for DWI (Olmsted County Court # ••-CR-••-••••) • 05/17/2022 for DWI (Olmsted County Court # ••-CR-••-••••) • 05/23/2023 for DWI (Winona County Court # ••-CR-••-••••) Defendant is currently in custody.
