On or about January 20, 2026, at approximately 3:56 P.M., Minnesota State Patrol Officer Miller responded to a residence at [ADDRESS REDACTED] North, Lake Elmo, Washington County, Minnesota. This is the residence of Edward John Abbott (defendant), [DOB REDACTED]. Defendant and B. T. M-O (victim) had earlier been in a road rage incident when they were both operating motor vehicles on Interstate 494 near Valley Creek, Woodbury, Washington County, Minnesota. During the encounter between the defendant and victim they had been driving recklessly and had used "hand" gestures back and forth.
At one point defendant pulled out a handgun and according to the victim [NAME REDACTED] was also in the car saw defendant point the gun at them. Defendant denied that he pointed it, but he did admit to taking out his gun and placing it on his dashboard. Defendant did admit he "showed" victim [NAME REDACTED]. The gun as described by the victim [NAME REDACTED] at the defendant's residence. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE.
