On November 4, 2025, at about 7:36 P.M., Rochester Police Department officers responded to a reported vehicle accident with possible injuries on the bridge at 1288 12th Street SW Rochester, Olmsted County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, Officer Garcia observed a Ford Edge vehicle with front airbags deployed. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kyli Rose Staudacher [DOB REDACTED]. Officer Garcia detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the car and Staudacher’s facial region.
She had blood shot and watery eyes. Staudacher admitted to consuming approximately three glasses of wine while at a bar. A Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) showed her blood alcohol content was 0.212. Officers administered field sobriety tests to Staudacher and observed additional signs of impairment. During the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, officers observed six clues of impairment. Staudacher used her arms for balance during the Walk and Turn test and took an incorrect number of steps. During the One Leg Stand test, Staudacher put her foot down and swayed while balancing.
Officers obtained a search warrant for blood or urine. Staudacher provided a blood sample and the result is currently pending. Officers spoke with the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident (an adult female identified in the police reports and herein referred to as Victim). Victim told officers she needed an ambulance and that her wrist and knees were really hurting. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was driving west on 12 St SW in the far right lane. She saw the other car when they turned in front of her.
She tried to stop but could not. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE. FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR COURT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING IMPOSED AND PUNISHED AS PROVIDED IN MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 609.49.
