The messages continue: Decedent: That's cool w me could he slide rn? Defendant: Nah he don't f*** with the blues so I got to lie and say we doing sum else and you finna come with me to get them, tomorrow. Defendant: You smoke them right. Decedent: Yea that's the only way Defendant: My man used to snort them that's gross af Decedent: Where the plug at I could slide too Defendant: He don't let anyone pick up but am finna try and see if I can sneak out the crib he be over north They agreed that the Defendant could not get out of the sober house so the conversation continued into the next day June 13, beginning at 9:08 A.M. And agreeing to meet around 1:00 P.M. That day and that the plug would sell the pills for "5 or 6" depending on if they were good.
The messages then coordinate where they pick up K. C. M. On June 14 at 1:49 A.M., the Decedent again messages the Defendant as follows: Decedent: This b**** got me right (emoji's) Decedent: Holy s*** gang (praying hands emoji) Decedent: Blew my mfkn mind (emoji's) Defendant: Ob they fire ash On July 10, 2024, the Anoka County Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that the cause of death for K. M. G. Was due to the toxic effects of fentanyl. On September 12, 2024, Detective Whittenburg spoke with the Defendant’s boyfriend E. M. C. [DOB REDACTED]. He reported that he and the defendant were no longer in a relationship.
He told the Detective that on June 13, 2024, he was “hanging out” with the Defendant. At some point that day she asked to hang out with her friend. They picked up K. C. M. From an unknown house in Fridley. He stated they were doing door dash and eventually went to The Defendant’s cousin’s house in South Minneapolis. He stated the Defendant made him stay in the car while she and K. C. M. Went inside. E. M. C. Reported that the Defendant’s cousin goes by the nickname “Glo Gang.” After that they dropped K. C. M. At her girlfriend’s house north of Fridley.
