Mark A Vitone

On December 9, 2025, Carver County Sheriff’s Deputy Vogelsberg responded to reports of a lottery scam from a victim [NAME REDACTED], Carver County, Minnesota. Victim, an adult female fully identified in police reports, reported that on November 22, 2025, she received a phone call from someone who identified themselves as Roseann Parker with Mega-Millions. The caller told Victim that she won a $650,000 home credit, $7,000 a week for the rest of her life, and a Mercedes-Benz SUV. The caller then told Victim [NAME REDACTED] was a $5,000 application fee and directed Victim to pay the deposit via money transfer.

On December 1, 2025, Victim [NAME REDACTED] in Shakopee, Carver County, Minnesota to transfer the deposit money. Victim [NAME REDACTED] from the caller and sent $2,000 via money transfer. Both transfers were sent to a male named MARK A. VITONE [DOB REDACTED]. The caller then claimed that Victim [NAME REDACTED] on December 5, 2025. Deputy Vogelsberg received records from Walmart that indicated Vitone collected money at a location in Massachusetts where Victim [NAME REDACTED]. On January 11, 2026, Deputy Vogelsberg made contact with Vitone by phone.

Vitone stated that he did not remember going to Walmart in early December nor whether he withdrew any money from there. When confronted with the information that he was on surveillance at the Walmart, Vitone stated he either spent or deposited the money. Vitone later claimed that his bank records did not go back before January 1, 2026. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
