On December 15, 2025, Minneapolis police responded to a domestic assault on the 2700 block of Stevens Avenue South, within the city of Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Upon arrival, officers met with an adult female Victim [NAME REDACTED] from a severe laceration on the side of her face and included her eyelid. Due to the injury, pain and location Victim [NAME REDACTED]. While in route to the hospital, Victim [NAME REDACTED] attacked by her boyfriend. She did not name him, or confirm which apartment this occurred in.
She stated she was punched 5 times. She was eventually sedated by EMS. In a later statement to police in January of 2026, Victim [NAME REDACTED] in a relationship with her boyfriend for about two months. She had been living with him at his apartment police responded to. She did not know her ex-boyfriend's full name but knows him as "Tommy Moe", later identified as TOMMY DERRELL WILLIAMS-MCGRAW [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant". She described on December 15, 2025, they began arguing and she told him she wanted to leave the apartment.
Defendant became angry and thought she was going to go to another male's house. She tried to leave the apartment, but Defendant got in front of the apartment door blocking her from leaving. She pushed him and he pushed her back. She asked him to let her leave, and he told her she was not going anywhere. Defendant had his handgun on him and also grabbed a knife from the drawer. Defendant then ran at her with the knife. He was not saying anything to her or making any verbal threats. Victim recalls kicking Defendant when he had the knife and then being on the ground with Defendant standing over her.
Defendant then began hitting Victim's left side of her face with the handgun. At some point Victim was able to get up, but Defendant grabbed her hair, dragged her to the living room and then began strangling her. She could breathe a little bit and felt as if she was wheezing. She felt like she was going to lose consciousness while Defendant applied pressure to her neck. Medical records confirm Victim [NAME REDACTED] on her face closed with sutures. Victim described being assaulted by Defendant on previous occasions.
Defendant has 8 prior felony domestic assault related convictions. Within the last 10 years, Defendant has the following prior qualifying domestic related convictions: - ••-CR-••-•••• – Felony Violate a No Contact Order; - ••-CR-••-•••• – Felony Violate a No Contact Order; and - ••-CR-••-•••• – Felony Violate a No Contact Order and First-Degree Burglary. Defendant is currently in custody for pending charges in Hennepin County Court file ••-CR-••-•••• for charges of Threats and Domestic Assault involving the same Victim on 12/23/2025; and Hennepin County Court file ••-CR-••-•••• for charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Threats and Domestic Assault on 12/20/2025 involving different victims.
