On 12/07/2025 at 0252 hours, St. Paul Police responded to a drunk driver call in the McDonald's parking lot ([ADDRESS REDACTED] E) in St. Paul, Ramsey County. Upon arrival, police found a 2007 Audi A6 (MN/SZJ297) in the drive thru. The driver, later identified as Alantae Antonio Louis BRYANT ([DOB REDACTED]), was slumped over in the driver’s seat. Police pulled in front of the vehicle, activated the squad’s emergency lights, and blared the squad’s horn for an extended period of time but BRYANT did not move.
Due to the lack of response, and concerned for BRYANT’s wellbeing, police used a window punch, unlocked the driver's door, and turned the vehicle off. Police saw a red solo cup in the vehicle’s center console. The cup contained a liquid that smelled like an alcoholic beverage. BRYANT was snoring. Police shook BRYANT but got no response. When police performed a sternum rub, BRYAN woke up with bloodshot and watery eyes. BRYANT was removed from the vehicle. BRYANT’s driver’s license was cancelled IPS. BRYANT complained of a broken leg but agreed to perform the eye portion of the standard field sobriety test.
The officer observed a lack of smooth pursuit in both eyes, and distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation in both eyes. BRYANT was arrested and transported to Regions Hospital. While there, BRYANT refused a preliminary breath test. Police obtained a blood search warrant, but BRYANT refused to let a nurse draw blood despite being warned that refusal was a crime. BRYANT was subsequently released by Regions Hospital. BRYANT has at three qualified prior impaired driving incidents within the past 10 years: 06/23/2022 169A.20.1(1) – DWI - ALCOHOL (••-CR-••-••••) 09/25/2021 169A.52 - IMPLIED CONSENT - 0.14 BAC MN, [DOB REDACTED] 169A.20.1(5) – DRIVING WITH BAC ABOVE THE LEGAL LIMIT (••-CR-••-••••) For purposes of Rule 6.02, BRYANT is on probation and has an open felony case for Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle (••-CR-••-••••).
