On or about November 3, 2025, at approximately 1:04 A.M., a Minnesota State Trooper was on patrol in the area of westbound I‐94 near Chicago Avenue, in the City of Minneapolis, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, when the trooper observed a vehicle without any lights. The trooper also observed the vehicle swerving over lane lines multiple times. The trooper conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle (MN Plate: LMU 699). The trooper approached the vehicle on the driver’s side and spoke to the driver, later identified as Raniyyah Monique Cadeana Jones [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.
The trooper noticed the moderate odor of consumed alcohol coming from the vehicle. The trooper observed Defendant was crying and would not make eye contact. The trooper asked Defendant multiple times if she had any alcohol, which she responded no. Defendant was asked to submit to field sobriety tests. Defendant was asked again about alcohol consumption, and Defendant indicated it had been hours since her last drink and she fell asleep in her car. During these tests, the trooper observed clues of impairment.
Defendant provided a breath sample for the preliminary breath test (PBT), which showed an alcohol concentration of 0.13. Defendant was placed under arrest for DWI. Defendant was transported to Hennepin County Jail. The trooper read Defendant the Motor Vehicle Breath Test Advisory. Defendant elected to consult an attorney, and Defendant voluntarily ended her attorney time. At 1:34 A.M., Defendant provided a breath test that revealed an alcohol concentration of 0.16. Defendant's driving privileges were revoked on or about March 4, 2024, and her driving privileges were not reinstated as of November 3, 2025.
