M. Officer Boe was dispatched to the Riverside Greenhouse in St. Cloud, Sherburne County, MN for reports of a burglary alarm going off at the location. Upon Officer Boe’s arrival he observed an individual with a white shirt and long hair walking through the greenhouse and the window to the front door to be shattered out. Additional law enforcement arrived on scene and cleared the building, locating two male individuals inside. Both individuals, later identified as BRENNEN JAMES TELKEN, [DOB REDACTED] [hereinafter defendant] and co-defendant were located inside one of the rooms, sitting at a table.
Law enforcement noted that the individuals appeared to be eating something, and the greenhouse looked to be rummaged through, noting multiple cabinets were open. Law enforcement later observed multiple needles, cereal, and a multi-tool sitting at the table where defendant and co-defendant had been located. Officer Boe noted that some of the needles appeared to be used, however there was no measurable amount of liquid inside. Additionally, while law enforcement was clearing the scene they observed multiple bags outside the front door of the greenhouse and while conducting a sweep of the greenhouse located a truck inside the greenhouse with the glove box open and rummaged through.
Law enforcement spoke with victim 1 [fully identified in reports] and learned that the cereal was taken from the truck, and the truck had been tampered with. Both defendant and co-defendant were then transported to Sherburne County Jail and invoked their Miranda rights. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
