On December 16, 2025, officers were dispatched to Children’s Hospital to take a sexual assault report. Upon arrival, they met with Victim, born in April 2009, who told officers that she had met an individual, later identified as MATTHEW STEPHEN VOHNOUTKA, [DOB REDACTED], “Defendant” herein, on SnapChat approximately two weeks ago. Victim said she and Defendant were talking for two weeks on SnapChat, and she told him she was 16 years old, to which he replied, “that makes it more fun.” On December 15, 2025, Defendant invited Victim to come over and offered her money to hang out.
Victim went to Defendant’s home and provided officers with an address on Hyland Courts Drive in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota as the address she went to. Victim explained that she hung out on the couch with Defendant and told him again that she was 16. Victim recounted how Defendant provided her with a THC beverage, which made her feel dizzy and lightheaded, so she told Defendant she wanted to take a nap. Victim [NAME REDACTED] into the bedroom where he started to rub Victim’s legs. Victim [NAME REDACTED] told Defendant to stop and he gave her another THC beverage, telling her “It will be over faster if you drink the drink.” Victim said she drank the second drink.
Victim said that Defendant then took her clothes off and inserted two fingers into her vagina before inserting his penis into her vagina. Victim [NAME REDACTED] intercourse with her twice. Victim [NAME REDACTED] told Defendant to stop multiple times, and he would put his hands around her neck and mouth. Victim said there were multiple times where she couldn’t breathe as a result. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was taking photos and videos of her during the assault. Defendant is currently in custody.
