On May 27, 2026, Stillwater police officer T. Anthony spoke on the telephone with the victim of a wallet theft, A. D. [DOB REDACTED]. A. D. Reported he had arrived at the River Valley Athletic Club in Stillwater, Minnesota at about 10:00am on 5/27/26. When he returned to his locker, he noticed his wallet was missing. At about 11:05, A. D. Reported he received a phone notification that one of his credit cards had been used for a $500 transaction at the Holiday gas station, [ADDRESS REDACTED] N in Oak Park Heights.
A. D. Advised he had given no person permission to use his credit cards at this time. A short while later, another one of A. D.'s credit cards was again used at the Holiday gas station in Oak Park Heights for a separate $500 transaction. With tax, the two transactions totaled $1,011.90. Oak Park Heights police officer S. Fundine responded to the Holiday gas station. Ofc. Fundine spoke with the manager, E. O. Who advised he had recently assisted a male customer with two $500 Visa gift card purchases.
E. O. Provided video of the two transactions to Ofc. Fundine. The male had longer chin hair, a gap between his two front teeth, and wore tan/khaki colored shorts. Surveillance footage obtained from gas station showed the male walking off the property, headed west. At the nearby Oak Tobacco store (west of the gas station), the manager advised that the male suspect had entered a motor vehicle with license plate MN TCG738. TCG738 had been observed by FLOCK cameras near the River Valley Athletic Club on 5/27/26. A staff member, K. L. T. [DOB REDACTED], advised she had an interaction with a male at the River Valley Athletic Club the morning of 5/27/26. K. L. T. Advised the male appeared to be Somali, wore tan pants/shorts, a hoodie, and had facial hair.
Through comparison of surveillance footage/stills from the various locations involved in this incident, descriptions provided by various individuals who observed the suspect, and known photographs of the apparent suspect, law enforcement determined the suspect's identity to be KHALID KHALIF KADIYE [DOB REDACTED].
