On 02/12/25, Ofc. Huewe was dispatched to the Running store located in Moorhead, Clay County, MN in regards to an unauthorized credit card use. The Complainant indicated that her husband's card was used at the location earlier in the day, but that the card that had been used had been missing. The owner of the credit card was identified to be K. A. M, hereinafter referred to as Victim. Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Huewe, and verified that he did not provide anyone permission to utilize his credit card, and that any purchases on the card from that day was unlawful.
Ofc. Huewe reviewed video from the Runnings store, and observed a man using the Victim's card. The man using the Victim's card without permission was identified to be JORDAN SCOTT NICKERSON [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter referred to as Defendant. Defendant can be observed in the video walking around the store for approximately an hour before making the fraudulent purchase with the Victim's credit card. The Defendant initially attempted to purchase items in the amount of $403.27, but the transaction failed.
Defendant then was able to successfully purchase items in the amount of $235.65 on the Victim's credit card without permission. Defendant was later seen online attempting to sell the items he purchased from Runnings with the Victim's credit card. Defendant has a prior conviction for felony Financial Transaction Card Fraud on 07/10/23 in casefile 14- CR-18-4053.
