On December 23, 2025, Detective Bailey and other law enforcement personnel from the Wright County Sheriff's Office searched a residence owned by Jason Alan Wasmund [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant, in the City of Monticello, Wright County, Minnesota, pursuant to a search warrant related to electronic devices that could contain child [NAME REDACTED], hereinafter CSAM. Defendant was present and spoke to Detective Bailey. When Detective Bailey told Defendant that he knew Defendant liked teenage girls, Defendant replied "that 17 18." Defendant said he downloaded pornographic content from the cloud.
Detective Bailey located two Samsung brand phones and a Samsung brand tablet in Defendant's residence. The tablet and the phones were searched pursuant to a search warrant. The newer phone, listed in reports as evidence item 2, contained numerous CSAM images that were physically saved to the phone, as follows: Count I - * data/media/0/dcim/editing pic’s/img_20150726_075309.jpg - Still image of teenage female with face visible using fingers to expose vagina (KBauer series) Count II - * data/media/0/download/cloud/bhgyyfolcaaakd5.jpg- Still image of teen female in mirror selfie style with face and breasts visible (90s Necklace series) Count III - * data/media/0/dcim/brunettes/img.20150716_224257.jpg – Still image of two teenage females in mirror style selfie with faces and breast exposed (Chrome1 series) Count IV - * data/media/0/download/cloud//img_20150529_040530.jpg - Nude teenage female taking a selfie with legs spread, breasts, vagina and face visible (13Shirt series) Count V - * data/media/0/download/cloud/img_620141018_232515.jpg -Still image from behind of young female, body consistent with 12-14 YOA, with vagina exposed, a wet spot under the female and an adult penis in the foreground (Tabby Cat series) Count VI - * data/media/0/download/cloud/img_20141105_120925.jpg – Still image of approximately 14 YOA female in a mirror style selfie with breasts, vagina and face visible The images are recognized as known CSAM series by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Defendant's arrest is necessary to prevent imminent harm to anyone. Therefore, the State respectfully requests a warrant be issued.
