That on or about December 2, 2025 at approximately 2:55 P.M., St. Louis Park police officers were dispatched to the frontage road directly south of Highway 7 near Wooddale Drive in St. Louis Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota for a personal injury accident. Dispatch advised a caller stated a blue Mitsubishi Highlander had crashed. Officers arrived and located the vehicle, which had gone off the roadway and had heavy front-end damage. Officers located a male, later identified as SHEKU ASSIRU KOROMA (“Defendant” herein), walking near the vehicle.
Officers spoke with Defendant, who admitted to driving the vehicle and crashing. While speaking with Defendant, Officer Dehn observed Defendant had poor balance and was providing non-logical responses. Defendant answered “yeah” to open ended questions. Defendant could not articulate how he crashed and had to have questions repeated to him multiple times. Officer Dehn administered field sobriety tests to Defendant, on which Defendant performed poorly. Defendant submitted a Preliminary Breath Test sample of 0.187. Officers placed Defendant under arrest and transported him to the St. Louis Park Police Department.
Officer Dehn read Defendant the Breath Test Advisory. Defendant agreed to take a breath test and provided a DataMaster Test sample of 0.17g/210L at 4:06 P.M. At present, Defendant is in custody.
