Deputy Asfeld met with Victim 1, the mother of the Defendant, identified as Kayla Lyn Boudin. [DOB REDACTED]. Victim 1 was visibly distraught, breathing raggedly, tearful, and short of breath. Victim 1 advised that she and Boudin got into an argument. During the argument, Boudin charged at Victim 1. Victim 2 intervened by stepping in the way and then subduing Boudin on the ground. Victim 1 advised she was fearful Boudin would hurt her. Deputy Asfeld met with Victim 2, the step‐father to Boudin, who advised that Boudin and Victim 1 had been arguing, and Boudin was tearing up his papers.
Boudin then became aggressive toward Victim 1, and he stepped in to try and convince Boudin to go downstairs. Victim 2 reported that Boudin grabbed him and he felt her attempting to throw him down the staircase. They went to the ground and he was able to subdue her until law enforcement arrived. Boudin resided with Victim 1 and Victim 2 at the time of this incident. Victim 1 reported significant mental health concerns for Boudin, that she has not been taking her medications as prescribed, and that Boudin was recently charged within the past week with a controlled substance offense in Wright County.
Boudin has two prior Domestic Violence related convictions occurring through Wadena County case 80‐CR‐18‐ 662, on 7/9/2020. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
