The defendant continued traveling at a high rate of speed and passed a minivan also traveling southbound. Krebsbach activated his radar and observed the stolen vehicle to be travelling at 102 mph in a 55-mph zone and gaining speed. Krebsbach terminated the pursuit due to safety concerns. Deputies remained in the area searching for the defendant. Sgt. Rueb was in the area of 780th Avenue and 180th Street when he observed the stolen Malibu traveling southbound on 780th Avenue. Rueb observed the defendant was the driver and activated his emergency lights while attempting to place his squad in the middle of the road to stop the defendant.
The defendant drove around Rueb’s squad car and took off at a high rate of speed southbound on 780th Avenue. Rueb activated his sirens and observed the stolen Malibu about ¾ mile south of his location and gaining distance. Rueb terminated the pursuit. The defendant could not be located again. 4 50-CR-25-2352 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 11/20/2025 Later that same day, at approximately 8:25 P.M., deputies of the Mower County Sheriff’s Office were advised that Olmsted County was chasing a 2002 red F-150 (MN license 909687) traveling southbound on Highway 63 and were terminating the pursuit.
Deputies learned the vehicle was registered to the City of LeRoy and had recently been reported stolen. Witness 3 (an adult male) reported that the truck had been stolen from inside the City of LeRoy shop located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] North in the City of LeRoy, County of Mower. Law enforcement suspected the driver of the stolen truck was the defendant. At approximately 8:30 P.M., Deputy Geier located the stolen truck traveling southbound on Highway 63 in the County of Mower. Geier observed the vehicle driving over the fog line and activated his emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop.
The vehicle failed to comply and continued southbound on Highway 63 and failed to come to a complete stop at the stop sign at Highway 16.
