On February 18, 2026 at 11:29 P.M., law enforcement was dispatched to a report of an altercation involving a knife outside an apartment complex located on the 700 block of 14th Street South in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota. Adult A (male, fully identified in the police reports) contacted dispatch and reported that Saredo Omar Mohamed, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, was "going crazy" with a knife. Adult A reported that the defendant had just left the area in a vehicle with an unknown female.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with Adult A, who stated that he had just returned home from work when the defendant asked him to drive her to a store to purchase more "whippits," which he and law enforcement know to be nitrous oxide commonly used to huff to become intoxicated. When he refused, the defendant told him, "I'm going to kill you if you don't take me." Adult A reported that the defendant then retrieved a large knife from a kitchen drawer and chased him throughout the apartment while holding the knife.
Adult A ran to the parking lot, and the defendant followed and began stabbing Adult A's vehicle with the knife. The defendant then again chased Adult A while still armed with the knife. Adult A ultimately observed the defendant enter a vehicle driven by an unknown female, later identified by law enforcement as Adult B (fully identified in the police reports). Adult A stated that he recorded a portion of the incident and provided the video to law enforcement. The video shows the defendant holding a large knife, stabbing the passenger-side door of a vehicle, and then pursuing the person holding the camera while still armed with the knife.
Officers searched the surrounding area and located a vehicle matching the description provided by Adult A at a nearby gas station. The defendant was located inside the vehicle with a shopping bag containing a newly purchased bottle of nitrous oxide. Officers spoke with Adult B, who stated that she observed the defendant chasing a male in a parking lot while holding a knife and stopped to intervene. Adult B reported that the defendant told her the dispute was about getting a ride somewhere. Adult B stated she drove the defendant to the gas station to prevent further confrontation and that she did not know the defendant.
Adult B further stated that the defendant dropped the knife prior to getting into her vehicle. Adult B picked up the knife and placed it under the seat of her vehicle before driving to the gas station. Officers later recovered the knife from under the seat of Adult B's vehicle. The defendant told officers that Adult A had assaulted her and denied ever possessing a knife. The defendant and Adult A are family or household members. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct.
