On August 21, 2024, VOTF investigators executed a search warrant at [ADDRESS REDACTED] South, St. Cloud, Stearns County, Minnesota. The search warrant was predicated on information controlled substances and firearms would be located inside. Kendall LaRay Bennett, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, lived at the home. During a search of the residence, law enforcement recovered a.40 caliber FN handgun in the living room. Law enforcement also located various amounts of cocaine, packaging materials, cell phones, and scales.
In proximity to Defendant's belongings and well as the firearm, investigators recovered a grey backpack. Inside law enforcement located 3.77 grams of cocaine in a corner tear baggie and a pouch with three baggies inside containing 28.85 grams of cocaine. Defendant's kitchen contained 6.76 grams of what appeared to be a cutting agent for preparing controlled substances for sale. In total, investigators collected 32.62 grams of cocaine from Defendant's residence. DNA analysis completed on October 9, 2025, revealed Defendant's DNA on the handgun's grip, slide serrations, and buttons.
Defendant has a prior conviction for Controlled Substance Crime in the Fifth Degree from April 13, 2022, contained in Stearns County District Court File No. 73-CR-22-2301. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant on or about August 21, 2024, in Stearns County, committed the offense(s) described herein.
