01/30/2005 (21), violated the law as set forth herein. On February 27, 2026, at approximately 5:36 A.M., Alexandria Police Officer Logan Sanborn was dispatched to the Birchwood Apartments in Alexandria, Minnesota. Upon arrival, Ofc. Sanborn met with the complainant, [NAME REDACTED], who stated she was in a physical altercation with her boyfriend, the Defendant, whom she lives with. L. A. Stated that during the night, the Defendant became upset and kicked L. A. Off the bed, causing her to hit the wall.
The Defendant stated he was feeling ill and went to the bathroom. L. A. Followed the Defendant to the bathroom, and the Defendant got upset and pushed L. A. Away from him. L. A. Ended up on the floor of the bathroom, and the Defendant pinned her to the ground by her neck. L. A. Stated her eyesight began to go black and she was unable to breathe. L. A. Stated she thought she was going to die, but was able to get away from the Defendant. However, the Defendant came out of the bathroom and began kicking L. A. Multiple times in the torso area.
While speaking with L. A., Ofc. Sanborn observed a scratch and bruise on her neck and that she had red knuckles. L. A. Stated her knuckles were red from defending herself. Ofc. Sanborn observed a pair of ripped female underwear. L. A. Stated the Defendant ripped them off her during the assault. The Defendant admitted to aggressively pushing L. A., but stated he thought he pushed her by the cheek and not her neck. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
