On February 17, 2026, officers responded to a call for shoplifting at a store at 1XX 3rd Avenue North, in the City of Minneapolis, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Officers learned that two females entered the store and grabbed multiple clothing items. One of the females went into a fitting room and the other passed merchandise over the wall. The second female then entered the fitting room. After some time, the two females left without purchasing anything. Store staff checked the fitting room.
They did not find any clothing, but found 11 tags consistent with the clothing the females were seen bringing into the fitting room. The total value of the clothing is approximately $1,348.00. The female who passed merchandise over the wall of the fitting room had visible tattoos in surveillance video. Officers used these tattoos to identify her as Saleena Marie Garcia ([DOB redacted]) and observed that Garcia posted items from the store for sale on Facebook on February 18, 2026. Garcia is a known driver of a white Cadillac Deville MN TLA622. On March 19, 2026, officers responded to another call for shoplifting at the same business involving the same two individuals.
Officers learned that the two females concealed a total of $294.00 in clothing their bags before leaving without paying. Garcia’s Cadillac was seen on a license plate reader two blocks south of the store shortly before the shoplifting incident on March 19, 2026. Officers learned that Garcia was involved in another shoplifting incident in Burnsville, where Garcia and Denisha Dena Young ([DOB redacted]) were arrested after attempting to steal from a Dick’s Sporting Goods. Officers determined Young was the other female present with Garcia during both shoplifting incidents at the store in Minneapolis based on comparisons of surveillance footage and images of Young’s arrest in Burnsville.
The total value of merchandise stolen by Garcia and Young between February 17, 2026, and March 19, 2026, is approximately $1,642.00.
