On April 3, 2026, at 2:35 A.M., Coon Rapids Police Officer Albers was dispatched to a residence located on Crocus Street NW in the City of Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Minnesota regarding a report of an unwanted person in front of the residence. Upon arrival in the area Officer Albers located an adult male GM who was walking away from the residence. As Officer Albers spoke with GM he observed a fresh lump on the right side of his face and fresh large scratches on the right side of his torso. GM said a male, later identified as DANIEL JAMES MCEACHERN, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter defendant struck him in the face with the end of the barrel side of the bat and drug him across furniture while at the residence.

Officer Albers spoke with the defendant who denied an assault took place but admitted to poking GM with a wooden bat.
