On or about October 30, 2025, Moorhead Police Department Officer B. Wallace responded to a report of a theft that occurred at 2923 5th St. S. In Moorhead, located in Clay County, MN. The victim [NAME REDACTED] had loaned his vehicle to an individual by the name of ASHLEY LORRAINE HAGGERTY [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant. The victim [NAME REDACTED] was loaned the vehicle on October 29, 2025 to run an errand, the Defendant agreed to return the vehicle afterwards. The victim was unable to contact the Defendant for some time after loaning the vehicle despite multiple attempts, but was able to re-initiate contact, and the Defendant indicated she would not be returning the vehicle immediately, as was agreed upon.
The Defendant still had not returned the vehicle as of the later hours of October 30, 2025. It was later learned that the Defendant was arrested by Fargo officers while occupying the vehicle at approximately 10:00 PM on October 30, 2025. The Defendant informed officers at that time that title to the vehicle was in her name. The vehicle was later returned to the victim. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49., intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
