On April 17, 2026, at 3:58 A.M., Saint Paul Offices were dispatched to the 100 block of Plato Boulevard, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, on a domestic assault. Comments included “Boyf dragged comp and hit, bite comp.” Officers arrived and met NLW, who was crying. NLW said her boyfriend-later identified as TERRENCE DEONTE WHITE, [DOB redacted], assaulted her. NLW said she received a text message from WHITE at 2:48 A.M., asking her to go over. She arrived at the apartment at 3:05 A.M. WHITE was intoxicated.
She thought he was mad about another male she used to have a relationship with. He started kicking, biting, and punching her with a closed fist. She put her hands up to defend herself. He took her phone. WHITE dragged her by her hair, and they ended up in the hallway. She went back to the apartment door to get her cellphone from WHITE to call police. WHITE grabbed a large silver butcher/kitchen style knife, raised it up to her, and said, “B****, if you don’t get out my hallway!” WHITE did not say any threats, but had the knife raised up in his hand with the blade down in a threatening manner and yelled at her.
WHITE smashed her phone. She got her phone, left the apartment, went to the lobby, and met officers. NLW had a purple mark/bruise on her head and the back of her arms. NLW’s acrylic fingernails were ripped off. She had bruises on her arms from the bite mark, her neck appeared red, and her hair appeared to have been pulled. Her phone was damaged. NLW is three months pregnant. Medics were called for NLW. Officers knocked on the apartment door. WHITE exited the apartment and was arrested. After a Miranda advisory, WHITE spoke to officers.
He said he was at a club tonight. When he returned to his home, NLW was at the apartment waiting for him. They went to his apartment. He fell asleep on the couch and was awakened by WILLIAMS hitting him on the head with a phone. NLW called him a “b****” when she was hitting him with the phone. He was on his stomach and rolled over to his back and tried to bite NLW to stop her from hitting him. He grabbed NLW’s phone, and threw it. NLW told him she was going to call police and left the apartment. WHITE said the reason NLW hit him was because she saw something on his phone.
WHITE said he has been in a relationship with NLW since 2022. They have not lived together, but have a sexual relationship. WHITE said NLW left a mark on the side of his head behind his ear. An officer felt a small knot on the side of WHITE’s head. Officers obtained a search warrant to search the apartment for the knife. A silver kitchen knife was found in a kitchen drawer. The knife had a black handle, silver blade, and was similar to how NLW described the knife.
