In August 2025, members of the West Metro Drug Task Force developed information that ROOSEVELT ADAMS [DOB REDACTED] was selling cocaine. Officers obtained a search warrant for Adams’ residence Unit 1 at [ADDRESS REDACTED] West, St. Paul, Ramsey County. Officers obtained a search warrant for Adams’ vehicles – a 2007 Nissan Titan bearing Minnesota license plates ZDS212 and a Chrysler minivan bearing Minnesota license plates ZHA412. On September 11, 2025, Adams pulled the Nissan Titan bearing Minnesota license plates ZDS212 into the driveway at [ADDRESS REDACTED] East, St. Paul, Ramsey County.
Officers stopped Adams to execute the warrant. Officers removed Adams and his passenger from the Titan. Officers recovered a set of keys from Adams that included keys to the Chrysler minivan. On September 11, 2025, officers executed the warrant at Unit 1 at [ADDRESS REDACTED] West, St. Paul, Ramsey County. Officers removed Adams’ wife from the residence and searched it. In the main bedroom officers recovered a DB handgun and a Ghost gun beneath the bed mattress. Both handguns held loaded magazines.
Officers recovered miscellaneous ammunition in a firearm box in a suitcase in the spare bedroom closet. Officers found small bags of suspected cocaine in a dresser drawer in the main bedroom. On September 11, 2025, officers found the Chrysler minivan bearing Minnesota license plates ZHA412 parked in front of [ADDRESS REDACTED] West, St. Paul, Ramsey County. Officers searched the minivan and found a black bag under the front passenger seat that contained suspected cocaine. Officers also found a bag of suspected cocaine inside the passenger side door panel.
The contents of the black bag recovered from the Chrysler minivan tested positive for the presence of cocaine and weighed 122.029 grams without packaging. A swab taken from the DB handgun contained a DNA profile of three individuals. The probability of observing the DNA profile is 100 billion times more likely if a mixture from Adams and two unknown, unrelated individuals are the source than if a mixture of three unknown, unrelated individuals are the source. Adams has a prior felony VOCSL 5 conviction in Nicollet County District Court file 52-CR-08-283 that makes him ineligible to possess firearms or ammunition.
