Probable Cause
At approximately 2:18 PM on 4/4/2026, Officers responded to an apartment building at [ADDRESS REDACTED], Edina, Hennepin County, Minnesota, regarding a report of theft from storage lockers. Officer observed Alejandro Scott Readi-Mcnicolli, herein Defendant, actively going through items inside of a storage room. Officer told Defendant to stop. Defendant approached Officer who was standing in the doorway. Defendant tried to push Officer against the wall. Officer attempted to get Defendant to the ground.
Defendant repeatedly attempted to take Officer’s gun off Officer’s person. Witness heard Officer repeatedly command Defendant to stop trying to take Officer's firearm. Following a search warrant of Defendant’s home, law enforcement recovered a 9 mm loaded magazine; a loaded Mod Tac 15 AR pistol (SN 0000346) located in a backpack on a chair (round in chamber); a magazine for the AR pistol; lower handgun frame located on the bed in a plastic bag next to a Glock box; Glock 19 handgun box located on the bed; Glock backstraps located on the floor; Weapon-mounted gun light located on the floor; Shotgun shells located in the closet; Additional firearm parts and 9mm ammunition located on the floor; Camo backpack with shotgun shells located in storage closet.
Defendant is currently in custody.
