Charles Marqece Clopton

On 9/6/24, Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a burglary at a residence located on the 3600 block of Newton Avenue North, in the city of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Victim [NAME REDACTED]. The suspect was later identified as CHARLES CLOPTON, Defendant. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was notified of a motion alert. Victim saw on security footage Defendant forcefully opening his locked garage door and walking out of the garage with items. Victim saw the suspect re-enter the garage. Victim then went out to his garage and confronted Defendant.

Law enforcement recovered three items next to the garage on the alley side leaning against the garage. Victim identified those items as previously stored in the garage. Defendant is on warrant status. Therefore, the State requests this Complaint issue by warrant.
