On January 27, 2026, officers responded to a call for damage to property at an apartment complex at [ADDRESS REDACTED] North, in the City of Brooklyn Center, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Officers reported to a unit on the first floor that had water dripping out of the light fixtures and sprinklers on the ceiling and learned that the individual renting the unit above was flooding their apartment because they were scheduled to be evicted the following day. Officers went to the individual’s apartment and observed standing water on the floors.
Officers also observed that there was yellow paint all over the interior of the apartment and significant damage to the interior. The individual who had been living in the apartment was identified as Jacob Oldman Wisdom Johuna AKA Jacob Oldman Toteh [DOB REDACTED] was located inside the apartment and placed under arrest. Johuna was also covered in yellow paint. Officers learned that the property manager would need to completely gut and re-do the interior of the unit in addition to repairing water damage to the unit and the unit below, and repairs are estimated to exceed $1,000. Johuna is currently in custody.
