While inside, V1 danced and went to charge her phone with the club security where she retrieved it with a partial charge.
V1 was approached by Suspect 1 and Suspect 2. V1 described the two individuals she met at RUMBA as suspect 1, a Hispanic male, with a muscular build with the Instagram handle “Espinozajh” and a short Ecudorian male with a buzz cut, overweight, and wearing a flat bill sports hat. Suspect 1 was eventually identified as JONATHAN ESPINOZA CAPETILLO [DOB REDACTED]. They asked her to accompany her to a booth in the club, and CAPETILLO gave her 2 alcoholic drinks. V1 also took three shots and danced with CAPETILLO and Suspect 2. V1’s last recollection of the night is being inside the club and then her phone died.
V1 stated she felt “funny” and “off” and has never felt this way after a night of drinking. V1’s next memory is on 11/8/2025 around 1100 hours, V1 woke up at her apartment located on the 100 block of Charles Ave, in St. Paul, MN, Ramsey County, with urine spread throughout her bedsheet, and found a condom wrapper near her bed. V1 had bruising on her left side, discomfort and bleeding from her vagina while in the bathroom. V1 looked in all the trash cans in her apartment and could not find a used condom.
V1 also noticed her entry door was unlocked, which she never leaves her door unlocked. V1 showed law enforcement a picture of CAPETILLO from his Instagram. Law enforcement also obtained footage from V1’s apartment from 11/8/2025, and requested video footage from Rumba. In the footage from V1’s apartment, investigators observed a vehicle pull up to the apartment building at 0248 on 11/8/2025. Shortly thereafter two individuals walk from the vehicle towards the building. The footage shows V1 walking while holding CAPETILLO’S hand and is swaying and at times loses her balance.
When the two stop holding hands, V1’s foot crosses over the other, and CAPETILLO reaches back to grab a hold of V1. This footage shows V1 losing her balance, sitting on the ground and needing the assistance of CAPETILLO to get up. Another male opens the door, and V1 and CAPETILLO walk inside. Later in the footage shows CAPETILLO leaving out of the apartment building, and throw something from his left hand onto the woodchips outside the building. On November 18, 2025, the investigator and their partner drove to the apartment building to see if they could recover anything.
