Daud Abdullahi Bashir

On April 1, 2026, officers received a report of a vehicle stolen from an Amazon delivery driver near Nicollet Mall in the City of Minneapolis, County of Hennepin. In the morning of April 2, 2026, officers located the stolen vehicle on Chicago Avenue near Franklin Avenue. A few minutes later, officers saw the vehicle stopped on 9th street. The vehicle contained a sole occupant, who was slumped in the driver's seat. That occupant was later identified as DUAD ABDULLAHI BASHIR [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.

Defendant did not respond to officer commands to exit the vehicle. Defendant was detained. Defendant was wearing an Amazon uniform and had an Amazon ID on their neck. Defendant is in custody in Hennepin County.
