On April 9, 2026, at approximately 10:39 P.M., Bloomington Police Department officers were called to assist with an assault call by Minnesota State Troopers. Upon arrival at 35W and 94th Street, officers observed an individual identified as LORENZO RAMIREZ ACACIA, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant in handcuffs. Troopers informed officers that upon their arrival, Defendant was combative with troopers. Bloomington officers assisted in getting Defendant into the back of a secured squad car while Defendant continued to struggle with officers.
Once in custody, officers learned that the reporting party, hereinafter Victim, [NAME REDACTED] was driving Defendant to a potential job. While in route, Defendant began to become agitated with Victim, [NAME REDACTED] would cause harm if Victim did not take him back to his home. Victim reported to police that Defendant has recently threatened him and other members of his family while brandishing a weapon. Based on this recent activity, Victim was in fear that Defendant would cause harm to him if he did not abide by Defendant's demands.
Victim called the police as a result of said fear. Victim is the brother of Defendant. Upon arrest and arrival at the Bloomington Police Department, Defendant was searched incident to arrest. On Defendant's person, officers located suspected controlled substances. Said substances were field- tested, returning a positive result for the presence of methamphetamine, a controlled substance, weighing approximately.30 grams without packaging. Defendant is currently in custody. The State respectfully requests this complaint issue via warrant.
