That on or about May 27, 2026, at approximately 8:33 P.M., law enforcement with the Spring Lake Park Police Department responded to an apartment complex located in Spring Lake Park, Anoka County, Minnesota in reference to a possible domestic disturbance. Law enforcement were advised that an unknown male, subsequently identified as DANIEL ANTHONY CORR [DOB REDACTED], herein after Defendant, was possibly armed with a knife. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with Victim #1 and Victim #2, both of whom reside together within the apartment complex.
Victim #1 and Victim #2 stated that prior to law enforcement arrival, a white male, believed to be in his early-to-mid-twenties with extensive tattoos, began throwing objects at their apartment window screen from outside. The Victims stated this was a result of the male becoming upset with barking dogs in Victims’ apartment. Victim #1 exited the apartment and confronted the male. The male became verbally aggressive, and called Victim #1 a “b****”. Victim #2 then exited from the apartment and requested the male stop antagonizing the dogs and return to his own apartment.
According to both Victims, the male briefly entered his apartment and then returned to the hallway area armed with a switchblade-style knife with a silver blade. The male stated to the victims, “I will attack you” while displaying the knife. Both victims feared for their safety and retreated to their apartment. It should be noted a third-party witness was interviewed, who corroborated various portions of the Victims’ statements. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, who had entered [APT REDACTED] prior to law enforcement arrival.
Law enforcement was unsuccessful in making contact. On May 28, 2026, law enforcement looked at prior police contact at or around the location of the May 27, 2026 incident. During the review, law enforcement located prior contact with the Defendant, who matched the suspect's physical description provided by Victim #1 and Victim #2. After identifying the Defendant, law enforcement conducted a photo lineup. The line-up was conducted by an officer unfamiliar with the investigation. Victim #2 was shown six photographs of six males pursuant to the lineup.
Victim #2 identified Defendant in the photo lineup as the individual who had produced the switchblade knife the night prior. The victim was “100%” confident in their selection. Following the positive identification of Defendant, law enforcement spoke with the apartment complex management staff. The staff advised that Defendant is on the leasing paperwork for [APT REDACTED]. The State requests a body only complaint warrant in this matter and requests that the Defendant be held in custody until appropriate bail and conditions of release be set pursuant to Minn.
