On March 24, 2025, KLC, a manager at Preserve of Roseville, [ADDRESS REDACTED], Roseville, Ramsey County, was reviewing video surveillance. She observed an employee, Kenji Taschica Lacy, [DOB REDACTED], slapping her then three-year-old son, KH, multiple times in the face/head area. Lacy apparently brought her children to work because she had no car for them. An investigator watched the video. The three children were sitting on furniture in a common area, watching television. They appeared well-behaved and quiet.
Lacy appeared and approached KH. Her body partially blocked the view of KH. Lacy winds up her right hand and swings it hard toward KH’s head/face. A loud slap is heard. She repeats this action for a total of five hard slaps. The child [NAME REDACTED]. When Lacy moved out of the way, the child [NAME REDACTED]. He is crying and grimacing. Eventually, an investigator was able to reach Lacy by telephone. When confronted with the incident and what the video showed, Lacy was silent. She said she is homeless and did not provide an address where a summons to court could be sent.
Lacy has an active warrant in Ramsey County for Financial Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult in 62SUCR251302, for failure to appear in count on October 3, 2025.
