On September 12, 2025, law enforcement was contacted by a group home manager for a residence in the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, that a resident’s bank accounts had numerous unauthorized transactions. The resident, Victim A, is a vulnerable adult. It was learned that the resident's bank cards were left in the office of the residence that employees had access to. Several of the charges were Cash App payments to the names “Princess” “Draco” and “Bears Esse.” It was determined that there were at least thirty-six fraudulent charges totaling $2,946.02 occurring between July 1, 2025, and September 1, 2025. Through investigative efforts, it was learned that one of the employees of the group home, the Defendant herein, TAMEAKA LASHAE DUNSTON ([DOB redacted]), had dogs and a business by the names used in the earlier fraudulent transactions.

Law enforcement spoke to the Defendant who admitted to making a portion of the transactions without permission. The Defendant's cell phone was seized and forensically examined. On the cell phone, there were several files corresponding to the fraudulent transactions. Through subpoenas and warrants, law enforcement was able to connect the Defendant to the other fraudulent transactions as well.
