M., Winona Police Officers (Officers) were dispatched to a residence in the City and County of Winona, Minnesota, regarding a male and female yelling in the hallway. The caller reported the female pulled a knife on the male. When Officer arrived on scene, he spoke to Audra Deneen Green, [DOB REDACTED] (Defendant). Defendant told Officer she banged on a shared wall of her apartment and Victim’s apartment because he was being too loud. Defendant reported an argument between the two of them broke out in the doorway of her apartment.
Defendant stated Victim was in her face and very close to her. Defendant said Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant told police she told Victim to “wait right here” then went back into her apartment and closed the door. Defendant then grabbed a knife from her kitchen and went back to the hallway. Defendant reported Victim [NAME REDACTED] from her face, so Defendant lifted the knife up and pointed it towards Victim. Defendant stated she told Victim something along the lines of, “I’ll cut your balls off,” and “I’ll cut you open like a fish.” Defendant invited Officer inside her apartment and showed him the knife she threatened Victim with.
It was a 6.5-inch kitchen knife with a black handle. Defendant reported she was afraid of Victim because she hears how he treats his significant other through the apartment walls. Defendant stated she is older than Victim [NAME REDACTED] had knee surgery. Officers spoke to Witness about the altercation. Witness reported he did see Defendant with a knife. Witness told Defendant and Victim during altercation that they needed to chill out because he did not like what he was seeing. Officer spoke to other witnesses and the Victim, and they made statements similar to Defendant’s. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
