On January 15, 2026, officers of the Brooklyn Center Police Department were dispatched to reports of a robbery occurring at a business located at [ADDRESS REDACTED]., Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, officers contacted the reporting party, WITNESS, who stated that a person later identified as CAMERON LEE MAY [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein, who had previously been trespassed from the business, had concealed multiple food items and fled the premises without paying for them.
WITNESS also explained that her employee, VICTIM [NAME REDACTED], had attempted to prevent DEFENDANT from exiting when DEFENDANT used force to push through her and out the door. Officers obtained security video that depicted the incident and corroborated WITNESS’s account. Officers spoke to VICTIM who also corroborated WITNESS’s account and stated that she was shoved by DEFENDANT as he moved past her to flee with the stolen merchandise. Officers were able to apprehend DEFENDANT who admitted to stealing the items and fleeing the business.
DEFENDANT initially denied using force against VICTIM; however, later apologized once he learned there was video of the incident. On DEFENDANT’s person officers found various drug paraphernalia and some of the stolen merchandise as well a multiple trespass notices to various businesses in the area. DEFENDANT is presently in custody.
