This residence is located within Sherburne County. Caller reported a female friend was beaten up by her boyfriend. In response to this call, deputies did speak with Andrea Johnson‐Curtis, Victim hereafter and with Donald Jeramine Hill [DOB REDACTED], Defendant hereafter. Victim and Defendant reside together and on this date became engaged in an argument that became physical. While Defendant admitted to becoming physical, he denied hitting Victim, but rather tried to explain her injuries, to include her black eye, occurring as a result of a fall.
Victim reported that Defendant first choked her while the two were in bed and also struck her twice. This happened while Victim [NAME REDACTED]. While choking Victim, [NAME REDACTED] was going to kill Victim. After this, Victim was also struck by Defendant while near the window. This single blow to her head caused the injury to her eye which did bleed as evidenced all over the residence. During this assault, Victim tried calling 911, but Defendant took the phone from her and hung up. A call to 911 from her number was confirmed as a hang up.
Defendant has a prior conviction for domestic assault in file 62‐CR‐23‐3153. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
