On December 12, 2025, at approximately 2:26 P.M., police responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. The complainant reported that her sister’s boyfriend threatened to kill her by shooting her, she did not see a gun, she shot her gun in the air, and he took off to the parking lot across the street. Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant, KAMARA NIAMA MUHAMMAD – [DOB REDACTED]. MUHAMMAD said she argued with her sister’s boyfriend, MAS. MUHAMMAD reported that the argument escalated with MAS saying things like, “You’re not my b****,” “On BD I’ll kill you,” and “You not on s*** shorty.” While arguing with MAS, MUHAMMAD was holding her baby and said she felt unsafe because MAS kept advancing toward her.
MUHAMMAD reported that MAS then said, “I’ll air this b**** out.” MUHAMMAD said she took her two kids upstairs and retrieved her firearm from the gun box. As she walked back downstairs, MUHAMMAD stated that MAS was walking out the front door and again stated, “I’m about to air this b**** out.” MUHAMMAD said MS walked to his car and opened the front passenger door like he was grabbing something then walked back towards MUHAMMAD. MUHAMMAD reported that she cocked the gun and fired one round in MAS’s direction at an upward angle.
MUHAMMAD said she has a permit to carry, and that she put the gun back under her bed in a case. Police went upstairs to retrieve the firearm. A child, approximately three to five years old, was in another bedroom. Police located the firearm under a bed in an unlocked plastic case. Police spoke with a witness, JRF, who said he observed a female and male arguing outside the residence. JRF heard the male say things like, “F****** shoot me,” “I ain’t f****** scared,” and “They’re going to call the f****** cops on your ass,” to the female.
JRF said the female walked towards the street and pointed the firearm at the male, who was in the street, and fired one shot towards the male. JRF stated that he did not see the male have a firearm. Another witness, AAM, reported that he was sitting in his car in the parking lot when he heard yelling from the front of the residence. AAM said a male crossed the street while shouting and yelling slurs then got into a vehicle and left. AAM denied hearing a gunshot. Police spoke with MAS over the phone.
MAS said he and his girlfriend got into an argument, which escalated when MUHAMMAD got involved. During the argument, MAS reported that MUHAMMAD tried to get a gun from a gun case but was unable to unlock the case. MUHAMMAD then went upstairs to retrieve another gun and threatened to shoot MAS if he did not leave. MAS reported that as he was walking to his car, he heard a single shot as his back was facing the residence. When MAS turned around, he said he saw MUHAMMAD at the top of the stairs with a gun in her hand.
